Has anyone else had this kind of issue? And, if so, what was your final solution? So, I'm guessing there are permissions that may need to be set and/or there are other locations that need exclusions. I did exclude the directory where I could find the AWCC software, but still seem to be having the problem. That tells me I need to set some exclusions and/or setting some permissions. If I kill the failed AWCC instance, then disable Kaspersky temporarily, I can successfully launch AWCC, though it does take a bit for some of the services to restart. I run Kaspersky for my antivirus and firewall. I think I have traced down the problem, but if so, I have a question. If I try to run the updates, it uninstalls the modules, re-installs, then hangs on the waiting message. In particular, the overclock and thermal modules get hung up, with the software saying there are updates required. The Alienware Command Center will not fully start. It's a total beast and it exactly what I've needed for both work and play. Hi all! I'm new to the Alienware community and so far have been more than pleased with my sweet, sweet R11.
Update: I did an update of AWCC with my AV disabled, including a full shutdown instead of a mere restart. We welcome everyone and value all of your opinions but attacking another member for their choice in brands will not be tolerated and will result in an immediate ban without warning. Alienware US Just re-directs to Dell now :(.
